At WisdomJr we often suggest a tiny experiment to parents: give your 10-year-old ₹50 and a Saturday afternoon, and see what they can turn it into.
One family we work with had their daughter buy lemons, sugar, and cups. She sold lemonade at her grandmother's kitty party for ₹20 a cup. She made ₹340.
She cried when it worked.
What they learn (that no class teaches)
- Unit economics. ₹50 in → ₹340 out = 6.8× return. Better than the stock market.
- Customer discovery. The aunts with diabetes asked for sugar-free. She didn't have any. Future version: offer both.
- Inventory. She ran out of cups. The ones she bought were in packs of 10. She needed 20.
- Pricing. When she charged ₹30 they refused. At ₹20 they bought three cups.
- Competition. Next weekend a cousin copied her idea. She started selling at two parties instead of one.
The invisible part
The muscle that grows isn't "business" — it's the belief that *they can create value out of nothing*. That one session changes how they look at every empty Saturday afternoon for the rest of their life.
Give them ₹50. Watch what happens.
