Our students are kids. Their safety comes before our growth, our revenue, and our roadmap.
1. Tutor verification
- PAN + Aadhaar verified before any class
- Police verification certificate on file
- Teaching demo reviewed by our content team
- Signed Child Protection Policy (DocuSign)
- Quarterly re-verification
2. What tutors cannot do
- Contact a student outside the platform
- Request personal info (phone, address, school)
- Hold 1-on-1 private rooms with a student
- Share gifts, money, or personal social media
- Arrange in-person meetups
3. What's always recorded & audited
- Every live class is recorded (with consent at class start)
- All chat is public to all participants + admin
- 5% of recorded classes are randomly audited monthly
- Any flagged content is reviewed within 1 hour
4. How to report
Three ways:
- "Report tutor" button in every live class
- Parent report channel at safety@wisdomjr.com (monitored 24/7)
- Emergency panic button in-app (hides UI, alerts parent + admin)
5. POCSO obligation
On any suspicion of abuse, we report to authorities under the POCSO Act. This is legally mandatory and non-negotiable.
6. Data minimization
- We never collect: phone, home address, school name, family income
- Leaderboards use first name + initial for under-13
- No public profiles by default
- Photos/avatars are moderated
7. Parental controls
- Required for every user under 18
- Parent sees all activity weekly
- Parent approves all tutor-to-student messages
- Parent can revoke consent any time
8. Training
Every WisdomJr employee completes POCSO awareness training annually.
